Yoga and skateboarding: we welcome the summer with a lot of sport at Open Mall!
Summer will be sporty or it won’t be at the CC Lanzarote Open Mall! You know that we organize many events for the delight of all visitors to our mall. But this June’s events put a very sporty spin on the mall.
03/06 – Skate Day
On 06/03 Extreme Center organized a skate workshop followed by a skate championship in the modalities of Big Ollie and Best Trick. We were thrilled to see the Extreme Center students and all of the registrants bring out their inner rider!
06/21 – 108 Greetings to the Sun
We welcomed the summer with a very special yoga event: 108 sun salutations with the collaboration of four yoga schools on the island. Yoga Lanzarote, Fanny Yoga Lanzarote, Casa Debhavana Lanzarote and Lanzasurf joined together for a session with a strong energetic connection.
The 1 represents the presence, the self. 0 is absence. This includes the absence of fluctuations of thought (meditation). The 8 is infinity, the loop of eternity.
Thus, 108, the sacred number, is a symbol of union. The union of the self, of the transparency of the mind and of the process of transformation towards the infinite. The 108 represents the eighth pillar of Patañjali’s Yoga Sūtra, Samãdhi: becoming one with the absolute.
It’s official: our first summer is already starting!
