JuveFest is back, the festival of comics, video games, cinema, anime, cosplay, Kpop and arts will take place from Friday 15/03 to Sunday 17/03 at the back of the Lanzarote Open Mall, in Benito Perez street, 91. This year, the festival will pay tribute to the 1980s, highlighting the rich film, music and comic book culture of that decade.

JuveFest is a municipal initiative to energize the municipality of Arrecife, with the support of associations such as La Legión Perdida, Shin Sekai, Lánzate and Softcombat. The event’s director, Daniel Moisés Pérez, describes JuveFest as part of the alternative culture derived from “frikismo”, promoting fun and participation.

The program will include the presence of dubbing actors such as José Posada and Patricia Rada, youtubers like Hache, Keunam and Hermoti, the anime singer Miree (voice of the intro of One Piece), the Star Wars Gran Canaria Association, the cosplayer Tayri con Y, as well as illustrators and singers from the world of anime. There will be magic performances inspired by Harry Potter, musical tributes to Queen, Japanese culture workshops, board games and a Gaming Zone with online tournaments, virtual reality, retro consoles and workshops related to the culture of the 80s for the whole family.

A perfect excuse to visit Open Mall Lanzarote sooner or later, don’t you think?
